I purchased this to replace Dish Network once I «cut the cord.» It was easy to set up, with easy-to-follow instructions. I have watched a movie on the Roku channel for free. I have used a Netflix account to access Netflix series and watched a number of seasons of two series. The quality has been acceptable.

I am not a big watcher of TV. I do not have a 4K TV, so I am watching in 1080p resolution. This Roku box works well for my needs.

I recently dropped my cable and not all my TVs would handle my streaming services so I bought a couple of these devices to handle them. We liked the Roku interfaces so much that we bought them for our TVs that did handle the services too. In the end we purchased five of them! The picture and sound are excellent and the interface is extremely easy to use. I didn’t realize it at the time but this model doesn’t have the ability to hard wire into a router. This is not a problem for four of them but one is right next to my router and it might have been nice to tie it in. (There is a model that allows hard wiring)

They were also super easy to install. When I unplugged my cable boxes I was able to plug in Roku using the same HDMI cables. Then the software practically installs itself.

Estuve buscando y comparando en Amazon los pros y contras de diversos dispositivos de streaming, en todos los casos, los de mejores características tenían un costo de entre 1200 y 1500 pesos, como el Alexa Fire Stick y otros dispositivos de la marca Roku, hasta que me encontré con esta versión que tenia un costo aproximado de 800 pesos y resulta que tenía la capacidad de reproducir video en 4K y control remoto que puede controlar la TV y además recibe instrucciones por voz a través del micrófono incluido en el control remoto, me llegó muy rápido y lo probé, estoy encantado con esta versión de Roku, tiene excelente recepción de la señal Wi Fi y se configuró muy rápido con mis canales de Directv TV Go, Netflix, Youtube y Prime, lo recomiendo ampliamente por calidad precio y su operación es my estable, sin interrupciones y con alta calidad de video y audio, sin duda el mejor dispositivo de streaming en la actualidad.

Can’t praise ROKU boxes enough. We own several ROKUs and bought our first over 15 years ago. I even have them attached to smart t.v.’s that stop supporting certain apps. I find the interface the easiest of all.

1) they don’t bombard you with ads. There is one on the right and it’s usually for a movie or show that has been released.
2) the voice search capability is excellent. You can easily find a movie/show and which paid service has it. It’s more convenient then going into each app trying to remember where our favorite show is streamed.
3) the interface is easy to navigate and customize. We can view
4) they continue to support and update the apps. The exception is if you have a VERY old ROKU were they are phasing out an app because of performance or whatever reason. Our Samsung t.v. stopped supporting certain services long before our oldest ROKU did.
5) there are games, free and paid
6) it’s cheap. At $30 for this device, it’s a great deal.

Todo iba perfecto, el dispositivo funcionaba bien hasta hace unos días que repentinamente el control se murió.

Ya se le cambió de baterías, ya se hizo el proceso para resetear el control y al final ninguna sirve. El control dejó de funcionar y no tengo manera de que sirva. De momento uso el roku con el celular pero no es para mi lo ideal ya que tengo otros dispotivios de la marca que no fallan.

Lo peor de todo es que ya ni puedo regresar el dispositivo y el proceso de garantía en Roku.com solo sugiere ‘comprar’ otro producto.

Espero poder encontrar una solución favorable o espeor el vendedor me ayude

Bought this for a spare tv. It works just as well as the Roku Ultra in another room and better than the two Roku TVs I have. Like the Ultra this Express remote does not need to be pointed at the box to work; It uses Wi-Fi. Nowhere does it say that on the box but it does. It does not have the headphone jack or the two programmable buttons like the Ultra does. The only disappointment was the HDMI cable that came with it wasn’t high enough resolution for it to work. Luckily I have extras… I recommend the Ultra for your main TV and I recommend this Roku Express for any other TVs in the house
