Estuve buscando y comparando en Amazon los pros y contras de diversos dispositivos de streaming, en todos los casos, los de mejores características tenían un costo de entre 1200 y 1500 pesos, como el Alexa Fire Stick y otros dispositivos de la marca Roku, hasta que me encontré con esta versión que tenia un costo aproximado de 800 pesos y resulta que tenía la capacidad de reproducir video en 4K y control remoto que puede controlar la TV y además recibe instrucciones por voz a través del micrófono incluido en el control remoto, me llegó muy rápido y lo probé, estoy encantado con esta versión de Roku, tiene excelente recepción de la señal Wi Fi y se configuró muy rápido con mis canales de Directv TV Go, Netflix, Youtube y Prime, lo recomiendo ampliamente por calidad precio y su operación es my estable, sin interrupciones y con alta calidad de video y audio, sin duda el mejor dispositivo de streaming en la actualidad.

Todo iba perfecto, el dispositivo funcionaba bien hasta hace unos días que repentinamente el control se murió.
Ya se le cambió de baterías, ya se hizo el proceso para resetear el control y al final ninguna sirve. El control dejó de funcionar y no tengo manera de que sirva. De momento uso el roku con el celular pero no es para mi lo ideal ya que tengo otros dispotivios de la marca que no fallan.
Lo peor de todo es que ya ni puedo regresar el dispositivo y el proceso de garantía en Roku.com solo sugiere ‘comprar’ otro producto.
Espero poder encontrar una solución favorable o espeor el vendedor me ayude

This is my third Roku. I also have a model 3 and a 2020 Ultra, which replaced the model 3. The Rokus are in my opinion about the best streaming devices on the market. However, if you are going to use one for viewing TV from a HDHomeRun Network TV tuner, you need to either get the 2020 Ultra or newer, or buy a different brand streaming device. It turns out most Rokus can not decode the audio from a HDHomeRun tuner per HDHomeRun tech support. They implied that it could work with a newer TV, but as I experienced it did not work with my older TV nor a computer monitor, since neither could decode the audio either. The HDHomerun support team suggested to use a sound bar or surround sound AVR instead.
Update Jan 26th.
I have had more opportunity to use the this Roku device. I have found that the WiFi streaming works well. The router and this Roku are located at opposite rooms and floors in the house. I did not have any issues with dropped connections and the like.
I feel the Rokus have the most comprehensive ecosystems of the the three manufacturers of these devices that I own, that being the Rokus, AppleTV, and the Firestick. This said, the AppleTV has a more polished look and feel, and are much improved over the older AppleTV models.
If you can only afford one of these I recommend going with the top of the line Roku Ultras. That is, unless you are heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem. Then perhaps the AppleTV will serve you better. The top end Roku Ultras have the ability to use a wired connection, and are compatible with the HDHomeRun, whereas the lessor models are not.

Dos cosas me encantaron de este pequeño aparato: a pesar de ser tan pequeñito, no solo hace lo que afirma, sino que ademas lo hace mejor que mi propio televisor: Utilizando mi TV, necesitaba subir el volumen entre 50-75%, y por algun motivo, de vez en cuando se perdia la señal de netflix y se quedaba trabado. Con Roku la imagen es mucho mas fluida y perfecta, y solo necesito subir el sonido al 25% para que se escuche igual que el sonido nativo de mi pantalla. Por si fuera poco, el control, pese a ser chiquitito y casi no tener botones, hace exactamente lo mismo que el control original de mi TV. Incluso tiene un teclado mucho mas facil de utilizar, y como si eso no fuera suficiente, ademas se pueden pasar las funciones del control al telefono, lo que permite textear a alta velocidad directamente en la TV para navegar por internet. Cero quejas, excelente servicio.

I have a Vizio tv that has Netflix, vudu and you tube, but was not that smart of a tv being a bit older. This Roku adapter obviously gave me roku tv + all the streaming. I finally ditched cable. The downfall is that I have to sign up for the Hulu, Disney + , and ESPN package to get Disney +. It’s a Roku thing unfortunately. So that means $20 a month rather than $9.99. Now the test will be when I order 2 more Roku converters to adapt 2 even older TV’s. If it works, it will save me $ buying new TV’s. I hope this helps others as I didn’t see any rewiews that described what I was looking to accomplish getting this adapter

I’ve used both the Roku 2 and Roku 3 «hockey pucks» for years on my quality, but non-smart, televisons. When my Roku 3 died (pro tip: do NOT leave a Roku on top of a hot amplifier!) a quick Google search uncovered the affordable, small Roku Express 4K+.
It was delivered in two days and took about 10-20 minutes to set up. It first received a poor WiFi signal because I set it down between my audio components, but when I stuck it onto the TV it got a strong signal. Next, I had to wait for the firmware update, reboot and to load all my channels, but it was hassle-free and I was up and watching Netflix and Amazon in under 30 minutes.
Logging on was easy and streaming is smooth. Roku ROCKS! Five stars.

I was an early Roku adopter. I purchased this one to replace an original to take advantage of some improved specs and features.
One of the new features I like is the ability to listen through a mobile device. This allows you to use a headset. Two shortcomings of note: 1) Enabling audio through the mobile app disables audio through the TV. I wish this was optional. Like many people my age, I like a headset to hear all the dialog, but I don’t always want to shut out other people in the room. 2) Audio cuts in and out when using the Roku app on my Samsung/Android phone. It works perfectly through my iPad.
This Roku works only via wifi. I’m old school and prefer wired for high bandwidth devices. But that’s probably not necessary anymore, the wifi has worked fine, and I didn’t mark the review down for it.
Two Zero –
We’ve used basic Rokus for several years as a more cost effective alternative to paying the cable company monthly to rent the little boxes for all the additional TVs around the house. Comcast is up to $7 per month per box and with 6 TVs around the house in addition to the family room main TV with the main cable box, that amounted to an addition $42 per month. So, we bought 6 Rokus on sale @ $30 each that paid for themselves in under 5 months and have saved us ever since. As they have begun to wear out, we upgraded to these which will pay for themselves in about 6 months.

I’m in Singapore and i can’t get Amazon Prime and Disney+ apps.
So it is a waste of money for me.

I bought this because despite having excellent reception, our HiSense TV would buffer constantly on Hulu/Spotify but was fine on Netflix/Amazon Prime Video. I did a lot of research to see if there was a way to boost the TV WiFi Antenna, and apparently on a lot of expensive TV’s that’s a thing, but the WalMart Special definietly cant, I LOVE HiSense as they are exceptional for the price, but I did learn the WiFi isn’t so hot, in comes the Express. Solved absolutely all of our Smart TV Issues, and even automatically «Took over» Our Smart TV UI. When launching our TV it automatically says «Switching to Roku» despite our Smart TV Already running Roku OS.

This was very easy to set up, provides a great picture. I don’t use voice, don’t want to. Haven’t tried using it with a headset yet. I’m writing this review to help others who may have the same set up «problem» that I had. My 1st Roku experience was with a Roku TV — so minimal set up. This Roku box required that I follow on-screen instructions, but the TV screen was set to enlarge the screen (previously used with Dish network). The on-screen commands I needed to see were outside the viewing range because of the screen setting. I was able to see just enough of the on-screen instructions that I thought I was clicking the right buttons on the remote. I decided the product was defective because the box didn’t appear to respond to the remote control (the Roku box was waiting for me to make the right response). I even changed the batteries in the remote control. I sent it all back to Amazon. When I rec’d the new one, it also «didn’t work». This time I tried it out on a TV in the basement. Easy set up, worked perfect, great picture. Eventually I figured out the problem on the other TV was the screen setting.
