This review is for the generic AK1/AK2 pc with 8gb ram and 128gb ssd. Putting it here as it seems some of the reviews are for completely different products.
The PC is so generic, there is no reference at all to a manufacturer in the box or in the PC itself. The sticker outside claims it is AK2, but stickers on the board and bios claim it is AK1, however this is not important. It comes with a Celeron J3455, 8GB or soldered 1333MHz ddr3 ram, and a generic 128gb mSATA ssd. It had a windows 10 pro installation on it that was a little peculiar — seemed a customized ppkp was put on it, and athe PC would not wake from sleep regardless of power profiles. I noted the windows installation key from HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\BackupProfuctKeyDefault, and secure erased the SSD under Linux, installed a fresh copy of windows 10 pro from official media, used a AX7788 USB Ethernet during install as the Intel Ethernet on the board won’t be recognized out of the box, and after the install completed plugged back the preserved windows key. Windows reactivated and after windows update ran all device drivers were automatically updated. There is no need for 3rd party drivers, and the machine is perfectly stable. The fan that runs intermittently is audible but not loud. 1080p streaming and basic web browsing is easy on this machine. For 100 bucks it is much more powerful than other SBCs and if you know what you are doing can be a great toy for whatever project you have in mind. 2 USB2 and 2 USB3 are also present. There is a microSD card reader on the board but no cutout in the case for it.

This small form factor pc is pretty darn good! It has a lot of connection options on it. There is one port on the back that I have no idea what it is for and there is also a sliding button that I don’t know what it’s for either. I didn’t see descriptions for these in the small book that came with it. I only use this for Internet searching and watching youtube vids and it is pretty fast in loading web pages etc. It has a fan in it but it’s very quiet. I can’t get my Logitech Setpoint software to run so that I can use all the features on my trackball but I’m still troubleshooting that.

It’s truly amazing how small things can be and they’re capabilities.

This has all the bells and whistles, and more, compared to my aging HP Workstation. It actually runs smoother. I took a chance with a listing with no reviews, and I’m glad I did.

First turn on, it connected with my wireless usb Logitech keyboard/mouse, I set up my WiFi, and downloaded Netflix and Prime Video apps from the Microsoft Store. I’ve streamed continuously for four or five hours in HD over WiFi, and this PC never skipped a beat.

I primarily purchased this for streaming and viewing videos on my outdoor projector (which has no smart capabilities) occasionally and presentations. I was thinking of a streaming stick originally, but these things came up in the listings search, and who wouldn’t want full PC functionality. After some research, I decided on this one.

This works with my projector. I’ve now replaced my HP Workstation with this little thing to connect to my 42” non smart Samsung TV, and I’m amazed that the picture is clearer and smoother. Same RAM, windows 10, but different processors for comparison, but this has the addition of Bluetooth and WiFi.

I will update with more time later, especially if I have a problem. If there are no updates, I’m still happily enjoying my little PC.
