All seemed ok after installation, until the sun appeared and it then decided to lose adhesion and fall off of the dash! This has now happened a few times and seems to be a major failing with this product!

Bought this based on a review read on a FB forum post so was very sceptical of its powers being massively oversold. It did look good and strong in the pics but they can be decieving too. Anyway I went ahead and purchased it. It arrived within days….super fast actually and a good omen I felt too.
I am now 2 months down and use it every day on good and bad roads, it has been all i could imagine it could be and more. Very happy with my purchase as you will be too, now go buy it!

This works great ! I originally had it up on the dash but the phone was too heavy and it would not stay. I then moved it down below by the gear shifter in the center column and it fit perfectly, was not intrusive, able to charge and glance at if needed! I especially like the two buttons on each side that have springs that open up the holder and then snap shut, cradling the phone snuggly! Then press then again to open it up to remove the phone! Not like other models I have had where it is hard to get the phone in and out of the cradle! This really was a great buy but you have to find a spot or possibly Velcro it down if you have it up on your dash !

First of all, I have no doubt that if I had actually received the iOttie One Touch 5 that I ordered, I would have loved it. I already own the version 4 and it’s awesome. The suction is great and it holds the phone very well. However, the item that I received is a Made-In-China knock-off of the original product.
It came in a strange blue box that I know iOttie phone holders don’t come in, and there’s no brand name or company information on the box about who manufactured it. Not even a company address or customer support information. It has “Easy One Touch Car Phone Bracket” written on the front, but nothing about iOttie. It also has “Original 100 Product” and “Made in China” written on it…
There’s no paperwork inside the box — no manual, installation guide, warranty information, or customer support card. The dashboard mounting pad that’s supposed to come with it is not present.
Looking at the phone holder itself, it’s very clearly NOT the version 5 iOttie. Comparing it to my version 4, it actually very closely resembles the version 4. Except it looks and feels more cheaply made, and doesn’t have the “iOttie” name etched onto the plastic on the front. In fact there are no markings at all on the phone holder to indicate who made it or what the model number is.
I wouldn’t have minded if this was just an honest mistake and I was sent the wrong item. Mistakes happen, I get it. But I have to say I’m pretty offended that I was sent an item that’s clearly a cheaply-made imitation of the product I ordered. If I hadn’t looked so closely at everything, I may not have realized it wasn’t iOttie. I’m sure others have been fooled this way. And it’s not like I ordered this from a weird 3rd-party seller on Amazon — the Seller was iOttie, and it was Fulfilled by Amazon.
I’ve returned the phone holder and ordered another. I hope I won’t have to go through receiving a fake again.

So the mounting system feels solid & works well for my choice of placement. Adhesive was really sticky & the arm only bends slightly under the weight of a Samsung Galaxy S22 in a Spigen case. We will see how it holds under driving conditions as well as how well the adhesive & suction hold up in high temperature later on, but from simply installing it in my vehicle, it feels like it was a better choice than the competitors. My biggest gripe as of now is the damage on the box: I ordered a brand new one and the box is pretty bent up right out of the bag, but I can easily blame it on the post office who handled it versus iOttie themselves. Also not as clunky as I thought it would be and is relatively easy to manipulate with one hand. I’d recommend this product now, however stay tuned for when I make an updated reciew after a couple weeks of use. Ciao
UPDATE 22/12/17:
So I have been driving with this mount for a bit and I have now noticed that the mount moves a lot left to right just from putting pressure on it. I have removed the arm and re-suctioned the base to see it it is giving out because of that; we shall see. Besides this, it has held up well and has been very convenient and easy to use. No other issues and on note of the suction cup, it is still very sticky and hasn’t shown any other signs of giving out. Some cons I’ve noticed (besides the aforementioned) is it does shake a modertate to high amount while driving and the whole unit does bend a bit from the suction cup point, but I also would blame that on the fact that the arm is at full length. I still recommend this product to those looking around, but highly suggest you try to have the arm as small as possible to eleviate as much of the shaking and bend (center of gravity and all). I will update one last time when I feel necessary (probably when it breaks ngl). Have a wonderful day and stay happy and healthy! 🙂

I initially purchased this product in May 2021 and I still currently have the product. I haven’t taken it off since I’ve received it. Of all the phone holders I’ve ever tried, iOttie has been the best and I don’t have to look at any other product. I have purchased this product 3 more times after my purchase for family members because I recommend it so highly. I have also recommended it to friends and I can’t speak for everyone, but if you need a review to reassure you of your purchase, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed from this purchase.

The iOttie Car Phone Holder is superb and holds my iPhone 14 Pro Max without issues when I am driving. The instructions are clear, easy to setup and the build quality is fantastic. I should have purchased this one a long time ago, but instead opted to go with cheaper product which broke after one year of use.
I recommend this product over the others out there in the market. You can also find some helpful videos on YouTube about about this specific unit.

So far, this mount has been great. The only critique I have is the mounting disc that came with the unit didn’t even last a week on my dash. I noticed it was pulling up and and the entire mount with phone was tipping. When the disc was removed, the outer edge of the adhesive pad looked like it pulled a layer of film off my dash and no longer was sticky. I changed the mount to be on the windshield and so far between the suction of the suction cup and its own adhesive, it’s pretty solid. Time will tell if it stays that way, especially when the summer comes with 90+ degree heat. We’ll see if they are truthful about the suction cup being restored under cold water if it falls off the windshield in the middle of July. Other than that, I LOVE the magnetic tab they provide to help store the cable behind the mount when not in use. It’s pretty clever. If you buy this mount, just be sure to budget extra to buy the mounting disc separate should dash mounting be the route you want to go.

The suction power on this thing, WOW. I mounted the circle on the dash and just set the mount on it didn’t even lock it in or anything. Well the first way I set it, it was too high up, it was blocking my view out of part of the windshield.. So I needed to un-suction it to turn it around.. Haha good luck with that.. I barely got it off the circle.. Took some serious prying and I almost gave up. Finally got it off and turned around and got the perfect placement.. Now to see if it holds up while driving.. BUT DO NOT EVEN SET THE STICKY PART IN PLACE UNLESS THATS WHERE YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT. Other than that appears to be a really good phone mount.

Every adhesive-based phone mount I tried wouldn’t even pretend to stick to my dashboard, so I had given up on trying to get one, but my friend recommended this one so I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, it stuck perfectly! It stayed on firm with no signs of slipping for about 3 months, and then it suddenly popped off the other day. We did have a couple weeks of ~0 degrees F, so that might have been the issue, but I’m not certain. The bottom of the adhesive pad had warped (looked bubbled almost?).
To their credit, I forgot it said the adhesive could be reused by washing, so I didn’t try that and just peeled the pad off. However, you can get a 5-pack of the sticky pads for about $7, so even though it did come off after 3ish months, I’m still pretty happy with it overall. It’s very convenient!

The best in-car phone holder I’ve used yet.
It’s sturdy, easy to install, extendable and value for money.
It’s not the cheapest available but I was fed up with keep wasting money trying others that break and don’t have much flexibility. .
This is completely variable and has the ability to move to your preferred position then locks in place.
It’s easy to place phone and it clicks into lock the phone in position automatically with little pressure on back plate.
And then to disconnect phone, it’s easy to unlock the gripping sides by a squeezing motion on the 2 clips behind the back plate.
There is a gap at the bottom of holder for your charging wire too
Easy to use one handed too.
Surprise valued purchase. If you have been looking for a phone holder, this is the one.

I had gotten so many different ones and they never worked and when I got this one I was a bit hesitate about if it would work but now that I’ve been using it I love it so much I love how adjustable it is and I love how easyit is to put my phone in and take it out I just place my phone into the and it pressed the button on it and the clamps just shut on it my dad drove my car and even he loved it he’s thinking of getting it too
