First off, this is my first tracker I’ve ever purchased. I absolutley love my new Fitbit. This has inspired me to be better, to move. I love the sleep tracker. It seems to be very accurate. I counted my steps and it matched. I climbed stairs and it matched. I have this linked to my lose it app and I’ve been very motivated to be better. I sit at a computer all day for work and I like that it reminds me to get up and move. My only complaint is the charger. I plug it in and see that it charging. I’ll check on it an hour later and it seems to stop. I think the slightest shift stops the charge. Wish that was better.

The Inspire 3 is a well-made attractive fitness and health tracking and exercise monitoring system with many potentially useful features. It should appeal to those who are seeking to improve their exercise level and general health as well as those who want a small smartwatch. Fitbit/Google has been a leader in the wrist worn tracker field for years and remains in one of the top places. The device is lightweight so that it can be worn 24/7 and will seldom be noticed. Although it can be difficult to see in bright sunlight it is brighter than many of its competitors. For regular use out of doors a larger smartwatch from Apple or Samsung may be more satisfactory for visibility reasons. Individual users will have to decide which of the several dozen features they want to use on a regular basis. This is necessary in part because to get full benefit from the Inspire 3 you must be willing to spend $9 per month on the app, a cost that over time will add up to a substantial investment after the complementary six month subscription. Others will be able to get along with the standard (free) features although all will be bombarded with encouragement to subscribe. The inspire 3 is less versatile than some competitors for tracking heart health. While it will monitor oxygen levels and heart rate it doesn’t monitor blood pressure and has only very limited utility for addressing heart arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation. (The portable EKGs such as the Kardia Mobile are better suited to the latter.) I didn’t try the device’s features for monitoring your smartphone but other users seem to conclude that it works well for that purpose.

I was going to slam this with one star when I first got it, but then noticed I keep wearing it rather than my sports watches.
It is wildly inaccurate, and reports a 20% higher heart rate than others, and 50% more calories burned than the others. Steps and distance estimation ( no GPS ) are OK.
But the reason I keep wearing this watch is its fantastic battery life, more than a week without recharging, and I don’t feel it at all on my wrist, even when sleeping.
I don’t use the App or sleep tracking, so I can’t comment on those. If you have trouble reading small letters, you’ll have trouble reading anything other than the time on the tiny screen.
The auto-wake function works well and I like the look of the watch and watch-face which are elegant.

This is my first time buying a fitbit and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. I’m kinda on the fence about how accurate it is as far as calorie burning and my sleep patterns but overall it does its job. I also like how it encourages you with your progress as far as total number of steps. It fits pretty nice and the app is pretty easy to navigate. I would say, if you’re looking for something that just tracks your heart rate and steps, then I would suggest this. It has a nice design too!

I’ve been using this tracker for about a month now. I chose it because it was one of the few with clip functionality (the bands are removable/exchangeable, or you can get a clip for it that lets it sit on your belt or collar). Note: you can’t use the heart rate monitoring or sleep monitoring functions unless it’s on your wrist.
The Fitbit app has lots of helpful data. I love that the tracker tracks steps and miles fairly accurately without needing GPS functionality (so it works in remote areas, too). However, with that being said, as an editor/writer who spends a good deal of time on the keyboard, it also tends to track my typing as steps, so I have to take it off while I work. I’ve read that if you put it on your non-dominant hand, this is not as much of an issue (but for someone who is ambidextrous for most things and truly doesn’t favor one side over the other, this was not a fix for me).
The band is slim and light, but because it is slim the screen stands up a bit tall on my wrist (which I frequently bump into things). So far it has held up well to accidental drops, bumps, and normal daily life. I remove it to shower/wash dishes, so can’t speak to its water resistance. It does have a water locking function, though.
Overall, this is an excellent tracker that is well worth the money and has a battery life of ~10 days, it seems like (in daily use/wearing to sleep). Well worth what I paid for it.

I am so beyond happy I have switched back to Fitbit! It is so much better than your basic smart watches. It auto detects everything for you, let’s you track your food and shows around where you need to be with your calorie intake. It has so many great features and I won’t be switching to anything else from here on out.

Happy to upgrade after a year and a half when my Inspire 2 battery died. I hesitated ordering another Fit Bit because my Inspire 2 face was so hard to read. However, when I saw the Inspire 3 had a little color and that the face was more raised, I went for it. I also love that I only need to tap the face to get it on and not push buttons on the sides. (My arthritic fingers are making electronic maneuvering more difficult.) The new Inspire 3 battery has a nice click-in-place feature to recharge the watch, which actually lasted almost 2 weeks! The band was similar in color tone (more pink than violet) and seemed a little larger. I now wear it on the 5th hole and it’s very comfortable. All in all, I am extremely pleased for this upgrade and fast-fast overnight delivery.
