Amazon Basics High-Speed HDMI Cable (18 Gbps, 4K/60Hz) — 6 Feet, Black

安さと、Amazonブランドということで購入
トータルで20〜30本ほど使用。1年半で6割故障しました。
仕事柄、10台ほどのTVとDVDプレーヤーなどをつないでいますが、１，段々と接触が悪くなってくる　　２．全く見れなくなる　　この２つの症状のどちらかが出て、違うケーブルに交換すると治ります。
HDMIを使い始めてかなりの年月が経ちますが、HDMIで故障するのはAmazonのみでした。
使い捨てで、１回きりしか使わないと言うことでしたらおすすめしますが、仕事で使うor自宅で使用頻度が高いという状況下に置いては、全くおすすめしません。

4Kテストの基準
CVT-R2基準、色深度10bit（HDR）
①2160P@24Hz@4:4:4 = 約6.27Gbps
②2160P@60Hz@4:2:0 = 約7.83Gbps
③2160P@60Hz@4:2:2 = 約10.34Gbps
④2160P@60Hz@4:4:4 = 約15.67Gbps
※30Hzの場合は、60Hzを純粋に半分で割ってください。

尚、当データは音声データを含んでいません。また、媒体のCoordinated Video Timingsによって転送速度は異なります。
例えば④は、音声込みで18Gbpsの限界に達してしまい概ね不具合を生じさせます。要するにここがHDMI2.0bの転送限界です。
また、HDRにおける色深度10bitとは、RGB1色あたり10bitの意味であり30bit（約10億7374万色）ってことです。RGB各色の階調が1024階調あり、中間色が豊富なのが特徴です。※8bit（24bit）は256階調しかありません。

重要なのは「4Kかどうか」では全く無く、リフレッシュレートとクロマサブサンプリングです。
ちなみに、当ケーブルは③をクリアしている標準的なHDMI2.0bケーブルです。
低品質ケーブルが乱立してしまうのは、②～④に極端な開きがありごまかしが効いてしまうからです。
極端な話①、②の利用条件であればHDMI1.4ケーブルでも「転送速度だけは」足りてしまうのです。

尚、HDRにおいても勘違いが多いので念の為記載しておきます。
HDMI2.0（リビジョンなし）＝ Rec.2020対応（色域の規格、これだけだとHDRとは言えない）
HDMI2.0a = PQ（Perceptual Quantization）方式対応（HDR PQ方式に対応）
HDMI2.0b = HLG（Hybrid Log Gamma）方式対応（HDR PQ/HLG方式に対応）

PQ対応：カメラ（スマホカメラ含む）、ゲーム（本体・媒体）、Web媒体、メディア媒体（UHD-BD）、AV機器（機種による）
HLG対応：家庭用ビデオカメラ（一眼レフビデオ撮影含む）、公共放送（TV）、地デジレコーダー（UHD-BD機能なし）
両対応：PC、スマホ、AV機器（HLGをPQに「変換」するのが多い）

この中で極端にややこしいのがAV機器であり、地上波（HLG）とUHD-BD、Web媒体（PQ）に両方対応しないといけないケースがあります。また、家庭用ビデオカメラの録画はHLGですがカメラはPQであり、それらの再生機能をもつ場合も非常にめんどくさいことになります。結果的にHLGをPQに変換するものが出回っています。ただし、HLG側は「ピュア」ではなくなるので、その点に注意が必要です。
※素直にピュア再生したいならPCが一番です。

極論を言うと、HDMI2.0aで6.27Gbps付近出れば4K@HDR対応を名乗れます（笑）
嘘ではありません。事実です。あんたの設定が悪いの一言です。
よってユーザーは、「何に使うのか？」「どんな機器に利用するのか？」を明確にしないと損をしますし、アドバイスもできません。
AV機器なら24Hzでいいでしょうし、PCやゲームなら30～60Hzは必須です。4K地デジなら2.0bは最低ラインですね。

HDMI2.0はもう限界を迎えている規格で、ようやく2.1が登場しましたが、各種機器やケーブルが浸透するのはまだまだ先の話なので、それまでは知識を持って騙されないようにしてください。

＜マニアの独り言（凄く参考にされたのでおまけ）＞
「HDR」を何故か規格名だと思ってる人が沢山居ますが、HDRとは「単語」です。規格名じゃありません。「すんげぇ表現力」っていう意味なので、規格も何もあったものではなく（笑）「UHD」「Dolby Vision」「HDR10」なら正しく規格名です。

強いて言えば上述の「PQ方式」「HLG方式」に対応した国際規格ならあります。「ITU-R　BT.2100」ですね。ITU-R　BT.2100は、PQ方式及びHLG方式についての「ガンマカーブ規定」を定めたものであり、多分皆が思ってるものとは違いますけどね。※ちなみにITU-R BT.2100はWeb上に仕様書（英語）が上がってます。興味のある人は見てみてください。言ってる意味わかりますから。

HDR（自称）の元祖はカメラでありPQ方式です。カメラのマニアならガンマ補正って聞くとなんとなく意味が分かると思います。よって、本来的には「HDR」表記ではなく、「PQ方式」「HLG方式」を明記すべきであってHDRなんて明記する必要ないのです。

最高にややこしい事に、解像度、色深度、ガンマ補正、色域、輝度といった様々な要素の集合体がHDRであり、それらの数値で細かく分かれているのが各規格って訳です。しかもここで大問題なのが、「規定準拠でも設定によって逸脱する場合がある」という事実です。例えばPQ/HLG方式は1080p/2160p/4320pオンリーです。クロマやリフレッシュレートも細かく規定されており、設定やバグで逸脱してしまう可能性があるのです。例えば60HzはOKですが59Hzは仕様書に記載がなく。しかも規格自体も何気にバージョン変更したりしています。BT.2100は2016年7月に初版が出ていますが、2018年7月にバージョン2が出ており（苦笑）一体いつの時代の何の規格準拠だかユーザーには全く分からん訳です。まじでいい加減にしろ。

UHDにはノーマルとプレミアムが、HDR10にはノーマルとプラスが。。。もはや完全にカオスでありHDRとはただの言葉だと覚えておくと多分天下無双に近づけると思います。結局昔で言う「独自の〇〇フィルター」のややこしい版なので。企業のエゴがエゴを呼び規格が規格を呼んでる状態であり、ユーザーは完全に置いてきぼりです。もう絵を買うという感覚と変わらないので、店舗に出向いて実物を見る事を強く推奨します。感性は人それぞれなので。それがマニアが言える最大限のアドバイスです。

中には細かい事にこだわっちゃうロスレス過激派が居ますが、これはマニアの精神衛生上の話だけであるってのを覚えておくといいと思います。実際問題PQとHLGを見分けられるかって言ったらまあ無理なので。FHD→4Kであれば4倍の解像度、24bit→30bitなら10倍の色深度なので流石にこれぐらい違ったら分かるんですが、本当に微々たる差を競い合ってる今の規格はう○こなのです。本当にいい加減にしろ。おかげで色々詳しくなったわ。

マニアも大変だよ。

Please do not waste your hard earned money on overpriced HDMI cables in the name of picture or sound improvements. I currently am using these AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI cables to connect our Yamaha v379 AV receiver to other HDMI enabled devices that link back to our 4K Samsung Smart TV and these have performed flawlessly.

HDMI cables come in four types: Standard-speed —> Standard-speed with Ethernet —> High-speed —> High-speed with Ethernet. Since High-speed cables are so cheap (e.g these AmazonBasics cables), there really isn’t any point of getting Standard-speed anymore. On the other hand, as most HDMI devices today can’t receive Ethernet over HDMI, High-speed HDMI cables are really all you need.

** Some numbers **

Standard-speed HDMI cables are rated up to 1080i («i» stands for interlaced). In order for a HDMI cable to have a «High-speed» moniker, it must be capable of showing resolutions up to 4K —> 3840 x 2160 at 30fps (or 4,096 x 2160 at 24fps). And as the highest resolution any 4K TV currently on the market can produce is 3840 x 2160 at 30fps, even if you found a $100 cable at your local BestBuy that claims it can transmit much more than that, it doesn’t matter as you are limited by your source (i.e your cable box, Xbox, PS4 e.t.c) and your TV’s hardware capabilities.

Also HDMI cables can either produce an image/sound or nothing at all. There is NO in between. Therefore, a HDMI cable will either work or won’t work (it may show a flashing image but this means it’s a bad cable). But a more expensive HDMI cable will NOT show darker blacks and sharper colors than a less expensive HDMI cable. You either get 100% of the signal or no signal at all. Now if you intend on running your HDMI cable for more than 50ft, then you might want to invest in a HDMI cable that has «active» chips that help maintain the signal quality over a longer distance (but does NOT make the image/sound any better than the source).

** What about HDMI 1.4 or 2.0 or HDCP 2.2? **

This is another common misconception due to manufacturer marketing. HDMI 1.4, 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 are all hardware changes that do NOT require a cable change! Although there is a difference between them (you can google that yourself), there is no such thing as a HDMI 1.4 or 2.0 or HDCP 2.2 cable! The version numbers refer to the devices that the HDMI cable connects into & NOT the cable itself. The cable simply is a pipeline linking the two. Hence, if you do happen to own a TV and another device that both have HDMI 2.0 ports, any AmazonBasics High-speed rated cable will work perfectly fine with it.

** Conclusion **

At this price point, there is very little reason to spend more money on more expensive HDMI cables over these AmazonBasics High-speed cables. If you have a 3D, 4K, HDCP 2.2 or HDMI-ARC compatible device, these High-speed cables will work perfectly fine for you.

I purchased this HDMI-to-HDMI cable to use with an HDMI splitter for my TV, enabling me to connect two separate devices such as a Chromecast device and DVD player to a single HDMI port. I only need a short cable for this purpose and this 3-foot cable does the job nicely. I like that to has plastic covers for each end of the cable in case I want to store or move it — though once connected I doubt I’ll do either. I haven’t tested the transfer speed in the description but it seems to be more than adequate for videos. A good choice for the money.

Cable is a little thin, but it is half the price of Best Buy. Works well and was easy to feet from my computer to the monitor. Great Deal!!!
