I connected the cable and get no signal at all. The cable is very bulky and very hard to attached to my monitor because it need little bit of twist. Not recommended. Thanks

Why spend more when you can get a (basically) generic brand cable from Amazon.

There are TONS of reviews saying how chonky the cable is, and I have to agree, it is quite big around. The cable is about the size of my PC’s power cable, but it functions very well. Great image quality, and I haven’t experienced any lag (especially since the display port lets you sync the monitor and the GPU). Overall, good cable, but if you are very particular about cable management, it’s probably too thick for you

This cable is a good monitor cable that I wanted to work in «deep colour» and be accurately calibrated. It was fine for that purpose (2K not even 4K, only at least 10-12bit colour). The cable is on the higher diameter variety and I have an old VGA cable about the same. It isn’t as inflexible as some make out. Note the plugs do not have the tiny sprung loaded claws that you release with a button if you want to extract the plug from its socket. It means they are easier to pull out. Seems OK hanging vertically down out of my monitor socket. You may see this as a plus or minus. Maybe that’s the basic bit.
A star off as the cable and plugs are without any markings. If I were to look at this in years to come I won’t have a clue it is an 8K cable. Also the address label was stuck on the box on top of the product labelling which gives the spec of the cable inside. I can’t peel it off without tearing the label beneath to check what it is I have received. Basically I’ve got a fat black cable that works.
Dear Amazon — please stick your delivery labels on the opposite side to the product label on Amazon Basics product boxes. Thanks. Or put a little label inside the box or get your cables marked

Use on a Stand mounted TV very heavy braided, would not recommend if wall mounting TV and
you have to go through a crossmember, braiding could easily hang up on drill hole and be damaged.
Picture Quality is excellent, TV only does 4K @ 60hrz, but this cable can take you up
    to 8K so your futureproof.

I bought this cable in order to connect my 4k displays to my thunderbolt dock. The cable does exactly what’s promised and I can certify that it will happily send a 4k signal at 85hz (this is where my displays top out) without the slightest issue.

The cable feels nice and sturdy and like all DP cables locks in place meaning it won’t fall out accidentally. I legitimately cannot see why you would spend more money on a cable. Amazon is clearly a monopoly and is pricing other smaller companies out of the market but it’s hard to deny the sheer value of this cable.

Just a heads up, this cable seems to work great, at least for 4k60 (haven’t tested 8k) but it’s extremely thick. I only just managed to fit in into the cable management on my monitor arm, and I’ll probably never be able to get it out without destroying the cable. So if the thickness of the cable matters to you, I’d recommend going elsewhere. I don’t know if all 8k cables are like this or not.

Cable is sturdy and very good. Picture quality is excellent as well.

What you need to keep in mind is about cable management. These are quite thick and if you are planning to route them along the desk or any other plans which involve lots of bends, you may want to reconsider. It is possible but the cable will resist you before succumbing to your will

Five stars for the 6ft cable, which comes with locking ends and works great on an old Dell Displayport 1.2 monitor. Three stars for the 10ft cable, which doesn’t come with the locking ends and doesn’t work with my monitor (apparently Displayport is pretty finicky). Overall four stars.

I only have 1080P monitors so I can’t comment on 4K performance, so only 4 stars instead of 5. I upgraded my Home Media Server Win11Pro with a new Graphics card (Zotac NVidia RTX 3060 Ti) so I could start gaming. This new card only has 1 HDMI port and I needed that to go my TV through the Home Theater Receiver so I can game on the big screen. My main Monitor (Display 1) for this PC is an ASUS 21″ 1080P with an HDMI and a DisplayPort. This new DP cable has a better picture and refresh rate than the old HDMI 1.4 cable it replaced. The PC just works better with Steam when both Monitors are connected to the same Graphics card. The added bonus is that my ASUS monitor’s built-in speakers started working with this DP cable right away! They never work through the HDMI cable even though I could select them for audio out. I would definitely recommend this cable!

IMHO: From what I’ve read the audio/video quality of the newest version of DP is just as good as HDMI 2.1 for 8K. It is open source and doesn’t take up any more space than HDMI. I don’t know why manufacturers don’t switch to DP so they don’t have to pay licensing fees for HDMI. This could potentially save the consumer some $ on electronics.

The media could not be loaded.

Basic only in name, this cable is top of the line. I got the 6’ version because I felt something wasn’t right with my original setup. I have an RTX 3060 XC graphics card. I typically use the HDMI port for my setup, but I have that going to my Denon x3700H. My setup was an HDMI cable with an HDMI to-display port adapter going to a 32” 4K monitor with HDR. Before deciding to try this cable, I had thought I was getting all I could get out of my monitor, and this cable proved me wrong by unleashing the HDR even more. Previously, the HDR seemed a bit washed out. My gut instinct proved correct as soon as I hooked up this cable. Despite my original setup saying that I was getting HDR, there was an apparent glaring difference. My display is now crisp and vibrant, and the HDR looks tremendous.

Some key things I noticed with this cable:
An aesthetical observation, the cable is really thick (shown in video and pic), which could be a good indicator for determining the quality of the product but also can be a bad thing depending on where you need to run the cable.
    4K@120hz worked flawlessly
    4K@60hz worked flawlessly
    1440p looked great
Audio passthrough works and the audio sounded crisp

I almost went with a different brand but decided on the Amazon Basics brand because of how well Amazon stands behind its product. Given past experiences, I knew that if I had any issues with the cable Amazon would go above and beyond to rectify the situation. So ultimately, you are getting that peace of mind and a great product. Overall, I recommend this cable; it has been great so far!
